Woke up early the next morning to catch the train to The Top of Europe. On the way there we stopped at a Swiss Army knife shop and picked up a few knives. They have green Swiss Army knives in Switzerland! You can also get your name engraved on any knife you purchase.
Once our knives where picked and engraved, mine is pink and has a pen, we headed to the train station for our trip to the Top of Europe.
Warning for individuals who get altitude sickness, either take medication, take a remedy, or sit this one out! We had someone on our tour faint (right in front of us) and a lot others were sick from the altitude.
It was a few crazy train rides up, but once you were at the top the views of the glaciers were fantastic and the Ice Palace was so fun to see. While sky high, we went to the Sphinx which is 3,571m above sea level. We were surrounded by mountains Jungfrau, Eiger and Mönch. The view of ice and snow was breathtaking! We could only stand out side for a few minutes, due to the temperature, so we took in our awe inspiring moments and our pictures and headed back in for warmth. By this time out tummy’s were grumbling, so we grabbed a few coffees and food at one of the restaurants before our decent down the mountain.
