On our way to Rome, we stopped for a bit to check out the stunning city of Orvieto. So we hopped off the bus and took a ride on the funicular to the small city. The small Italian streets reminded us of scenes from a movie. It was so quaint and… well… Italian. Exactly how you imagine a smaller city in Italy would be. The highlight of this beautiful area is its remarkable cathedral! The Orvieto Cathedral is dazzling with all the bright colors and detail!
We walked around to take in everything this small city had to offer, during which, we stopped for a quick bite of pizza and cold beer for lunch. Our tour did not stay long, only a few hours, as we were still headed to our final destination… Rome!
It was a truly memorable little city!
